Vitamin E 100 ml

All dogs need vitamin E for a normal metabolism, growth and development, for immunity and hormonal functions. Dogs cannot produce vitamin E in their bodies, and a sufficient amount of this vitamin is not always received through food. Therefore a dog may benefit from a vitamin E complement.

Vitamin E is particularly important for dogs on a BARF diet, as raw food does not necessarily contain enough of this vitamin. The more fat in the dog´s food, the more important it is to provide enough vitamin E, as vitamin E is an antioxidant preventing fats from becoming rancid. Dogs in heavy physical work/training and dogs used for breeding will also benefit from an additive with vitamin E.

Horses get vitamin E from their natural food, i.e. fresh pasture grass. The stability of vitamin E in dry hay is, however, weak, and therefore this vitamin should be added to the feed of every horse. The need for vitamin E is greatest in pregnant and lactating mares, foals, young and growing horses, as well as sport horses. Horses get vitamin E from their natural feed, i.e. fresh pasture grass.

Dogs:

• Adult dogs in rest or light exercise, dogs younger than 1 year: 1 pump actuation once daily

• Adult dogs in hard/challenging work: 2 pump actuations once daily.

• Dogs used for breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs: 3 pump actuations once daily.
  

Horses:

• During the indoor feeding season 3 pump actuations (720 IU) once daily for all horses.

• Horses receiving oil feed during the grazing season:
  If 1-3 dl of oil/day: 1 pump actuation of vitamin E (240 IU) daily.
  If > 3 dl of oil/day: 2 pump actuations of vitamin E (480 IU) daily.

• Breeding mares:
  Prior to the last month of gestation: 3 pump actuations (720 IU) daily
  During the last month of gestation: 5 pump actuations (1200 IU) daily
  Young horses < 1 year of age: 4 pump actuations (960 IU) daily
